Job Title: Chef
Salary: Competitive salary + plus other benefits

Location: We have roles available at both our Penwortham and Fulwood locations
Hours: Ideally 37.5 hours per week, but as we explain below we are open to a team of part time chefs.
We have full time hours available but are open to creating a team of part time staff.
We are a flexible employer who currently think that a minimum shifts to be 8am to 3pm including breaks but are open to being flexible for the right candidate.
Whether full time or part time a successful applicant will need to be willing to work on both Saturday and Sunday.

We are excited to announce two opportunities to join our team as a Brunch Chef at our new and ethical coffee shop and kitchen in Penwortham. The successful candidates will be dedicated to serving quality food and promoting sustainable practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare a range of brunch items as well as sandwiches, soups, etc in line with our ethical and sustainable food philosophy.
- Ensure all dishes are crafted with the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality, using fresh, locally sourced, and organic ingredients whenever possible.
- Follow food hygiene standards and maintain a meticulously clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Take ownership of opening and closing procedures, ensuring they align with our commitment to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to develop innovative and enticing brunch menu offerings that align with our ethical values.
- Monitor inventory levels, communicate supply needs, and assist with placing orders as required.
- Supporting the barista's when needed.
- Other duties as required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Share the values of the third wave coffee sector and have a desire to work in a business that is seeking to promote those values.
- Previous experience as a chef, ideally specialising in brunch cuisine.
- Passion for ethical and sustainable food practices, with knowledge of sourcing local and organic ingredients.
- Strong understanding of UK food hygiene standards and a proven track record of maintaining a clean and safe kitchen holding a minimum level 2 food hygiene certificate.
- Creativity and a keen eye for detail in food presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional quality.
- Flexibility to work a minimum part-time hours from 8 am until 3.00 pm daily including at weekends.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the team.
